Welcome to Ark and Anchor C.I.C.

 The Safe Harbour

Ark and Anchor CIC creates compassionate, faith-rooted spaces for people navigating trauma, abuse, shame, emotional pain, mental health struggles, crisis, and other complex needs.

We support individuals who may feel overwhelmed by life, disconnected from themselves, or weighed down by past experiences. Through trauma-aware programmes, safe group spaces, reflective resources, and gentle support, we help people begin to heal, recover, and rediscover who they were created to be.

Our story

Ark and Anchor C.I.C. was founded in November 2025 with a clear vision: to create compassionate, faith-rooted spaces where trauma-aware, holistic healing can begin within our community.

We believe in offering safe spaces and gentle programmes that walk alongside people as they move from pain, crisis and survival towards peace, renewed strength, safety and trust with a deeper sense of connection and belonging.

Our approach to healing

At Ark and Anchor C.I.C., our approach to healing is trauma-aware, holistic and whole person centred approach acknowledging the interwoven deep connection between mind, body and spirit.

Through programmes such as What Lies Beneath and The Shore Beyond Shame, we create safe, compassionate spaces for people to gently explore deep emotional wounds, understand how shame can take root, and begin moving towards healing, freedom and restored identity.

We believe people are not defined by their worst mistake, deepest wound, or the things that have happened to them. With the right support, acceptance, belonging and hope, a renewed sense of identity, purpose and possibility can begin to unfold.

Mission and Values

Our Mission

Ark and Anchor CIC exists to provide a Safe Harbour for people affected by trauma, shame, addiction, homelessness, crisis, mental health struggles, domestic abuse, family breakdown and the criminal justice system.

Through faith-rooted, trauma-aware and whole-person-centred programmes, we walk alongside individuals as they begin to understand the root of their pain, rebuild emotional safety and trust, and rediscover dignity, identity and purpose.

Our mission is to meet people with compassion, not judgement, creating pathways of restoration where lives, families and communities can begin to heal.

Our Values

Compassion, Not Judgement
We meet people with empathy, kindness and understanding, recognising that pain, trauma and survival can often sit beneath the surface of behaviour.

Dignity
We honour the worth of every person, regardless of their past, circumstances, struggles or story. We believe no one is defined by their worst mistake, deepest wound or darkest season.

Safety
We create emotionally safe, trauma-aware spaces where people can feel seen, heard and valued. We work with care, clear boundaries and sensitivity to the impact of trauma on the body, soul and spirit.

Restoration
We believe healing is possible. Our work supports people to rebuild trust, recover identity, and take gentle steps towards wholeness, stability and a renewed sense of self.

Faith-Rooted Care
Our approach is grounded in Christian compassion, grace and the belief that every person was created with purpose. We offer faith-rooted support while respecting each individual’s pace, background and journey.

Connection and Belonging
We believe people heal best in safe relationship. We create spaces where isolation can be broken, stories can be shared, and people can rediscover connection with themselves and spirituality.

Accountability and Growth
We support honest reflection, personal responsibility and meaningful change. We believe accountability is not about shame, but about creating space for restoration, healthier choices and lasting transformation.
